MahaRERA maps 4,500 listed projects with GIS technology

The Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA) is mapping nearly 4,500 construction projects among 16,000 projects which are registered with it under the system of Geographical Information System. This will facilitate the citizens to get the complete information including minor details too so, it will be a very easy process for the home seekers to choose from the available options just by viewing the map on the website. Vasant Prabhu, secretary of Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA) said that the chief minister laid the significance and requirement of GIS mapping. For GIS mapping, there has been a tie-up in between MahaRERA and MahaOnline. As per the MahaRERA Act, it has been compulsory for all the current ongoing projects to get register themselves with this regulatory body and it will create the database. Soon, in the coming time, rest of the 11,500 projects will also be mapped.

 

Gautam Chatterjee, chairman of MahaRERA said that he wants seamless transaction for homebuyers and this technology will help them in finding the home easily. The feature of View Map will open the projects present on the map. However, one can zoom and can check all the schemes of the specific area as per their choice as well as amenities which include playground, schools and hospitals near to the project. Getting exact information about nearby railway stations, schools, colleges, hospitals and so on is going to appraise this technology as it will save a lot of time and energy of citizens. It will definitely provide benefits to the buyers as they can save themselves from getting into false claims of the constructors as they can check their own about the amenities of the projects and nearby locations. Information on other infrastructures around the project will help you in deciding whether you have to buy the property or not.

As per the recent information released on the official website of MahaRERA, to date, only 16,900 projects are approved by the officials.
